Second Jobs Policy

Ed Milliband sets out new rule for Labour MP's

"We've got to settle the issue of MPs taking second jobs once and for all. We have to remove any suspicion that MPs are working not for their constituents' interests but someone else's interests.

From 7 May, no Labour MP will be able to take a paid directorship or consultancy, and the next Labour government will move to extend the ban to MPs of all parties.

The allegations this week have been deeply disturbing — and we need to take action to make sure this doesn't happen again.

We must rebuild public trust in politics — the integrity of our democracy depends on it. If you're with me, click below to share your views on Facebook now.

Thank you."
